It's more common to find aromatic bowls of Vietnamese-Style Beef served with flat rice noodles, but we like ours on a fluffy bed of basmati rice – it's perfect for soajing up every last drop of soul-warming broth! You don't want to miss even a hint of the flavours here: we're talking about lean beef chunks tenderizing in a creamy, light sauce made with coconut milk, chopped tomatoes and a fragrant blend of herbs and spices. Just remember to fish out the cinnamon stick and star anise once they've worked their magic.
