Slow Cooker Sticky Sausages

As the reduced-fat sausages and red onions slow-cook with a few spoonfuls of marmalade, the onions caramelize and release their juices, creating a sticky sauce that's perfect for drizzling over mashed potatoes. While browning the sausages isn't a must, it does give them a lovely darker colour and helps to create a richer sauce. It's basically bangers and mash, just easier and tastier than ever!

I browned the sausages first (but not essential) and the onion and marmalade made for a lovely, glossy coating. These were very tasty served with mashed potato and cabbage.
