Once the filling is ready, it's topped with puff pastry and baked in the oven until beautifully golden. If your slow-cooker pot isn't oven-safe, simply pop the beef mix into an ovenproof dish before adding the pastry. It's the ultimate cosy dinner with a gloriously crunchy crust.

Dump Bag Prep

Prepare the beef, onion, carrot and celery. Freeze, defrost, add the cornflour slurry and hot stock, and cook following the remaining steps of the recipe.

The browning of the mince is not essential and you can add it straight to the slow cooker,breaking up any larger pieces.
