Slow Cooker Baked Apples
You only need a handful of ingredients to transform stray apples into this scrummy dessert. We've stuffed them with nutty marzipan, juicy sultanas, zesty orange and a hint of warming cinnamon, then slow-cooked them until they're perfectly tender and infused with all the citrussy, nutty flavours. The apples caramelize and release their natural sweetness as they cook, so there's no need to add any sugar. Still, we wouldn't say no to a scoop of low-fat vanilla ice cream on the side!

Any leftovers? Cut up and place in an ovenproof dish, then make a simple crumble topping for a delicious apple crumble.
Choose and apple that can stand up to the cooking without falling.Good choices are Braeburn, Granny Smiths. Honeycrisp, Jazz, Fuji and Pink Lady. Avoid Gala as they can become too mushy.
