Hob Proof Cooking Pot

The new Sear and Stew, featuring a hob proof cooking pot, means you can sear and slow cook from start to finish in one cooking pot making the slow cooking process even more efficient.

3 Heat Settings

Once your pot is in the slow cooker base simply select either the high, medium or low cooking setting and you will have a delicious casserole, chili, curry or a multitude of other family favourites.

Dishwasher Safe

When you have finished your meal washing up is a doddle too. The Sear and Stew cooking pot features a no-stick coating and can also go straight into the dishwasher.

I cracked the pot on my last slow cooker so was happy to buy one with an aluminium pot. I was disappointed that it isn’t compatible with my induction hob though. I didn’t realise this until it came. It’s light and easy to clean. I cooked a shoulder of pork for ten hours yesterday! Delicious.

    Love this slow cooker!! Bought this to replace to exact same model that we've had for over 6 years with no issues. The dial had started to come apart so even though my husband wouldn't have bothered getting a new one, I thought it was time for an upgrade! This is one of the few slow cookers that you can use on the hob as we love to sear meat in the same pot beforehand. It's so simple to use and you really don't need anything more! Brilliant price point for a brilliant product.

    This Morphy Richards Slow Cooker is a fantastic addition to any kitchen.     I particularly appreciate the "Sear and Stew" functionality, allowing me to brown meats directly on the hob before transferring them to the slow cooker for effortless, flavorful cooking. The slow cooker is also surprisingly easy to clean, with the exception of the outer pot. Unfortunately, I've found that the outer pot is prone to staining on the inside if not careful, and these stains seem virtually impossible to remove.

    I chose this slow cooker because it has three settings, low, medium and high, It’s a great size but lightweight and it looks great. The inner pan is able to be used on the hob to sear meats prior to slow cooking. This is an excellent feature! It’s a lightweight metal pan with a non stick surface which is so easy to clean. The only thing I’d say about using the pan on the hob is that it’s quite slippy on my gas hob so need to take care when stirring that it doesn’t slide off the pan trivet.
    After searing it’s easy to lift the pan into the slow cooker, fits in there easily. You need oven gloves as the metal obviously gets hot on the hob.
    It doesn’t have a timer which doesn’t bother me, I’ve left mine on for longer than the allocated time and it hasn’t spoiled the food at all.
    I’ve used the medium and the high settings and they are accurate- the recipes turned out well. The low setting is good for keeping the food hot after cooking.
    I chose the dark grey and it looks great in my kitchen so no need to put it away after every use. This slow cooker was a great price from Amazon and I can highly recommend it.
