Perfect hummingbird cheesecake!
Just before Xmas I tried to make a baked cheesecake in a non spring form cake tin. It was, frankly, a mess. I have lots of Circulon Bakeware and it wears very well, providing in some cases everyday quality for over a year. Our baking tray lives in the oven, has had all sorts baked, welded and spilt onto it and it always cleans up and gets on with the job. I've tried my Hummingbird cheesecake again in this, and it was so much easier. The base of the tin slots into a groove around the bottom, so simply placing it on the work surface is exactly the right height to clip in place. Once in the bottom of the tin is flush. My recipe requires sitting the tin in water for the bake. This provided a reliable watertight seal and baking with the water level 2/3 of the way up the tin. I was very skimpy on the greasing but did line the tin. Everything popped out perfectly. The small grooves on the Circulon base add a nice touch the biscuit base, and reduce the contact on the plate after serving so you avoid that risk of sweaty, condensation from a perfectly flat base.

    This size tray was chosen when I need to squeeze a small tray in my oven next to a larger tray, or when I simply need something small to cook.

    I find most non stick trays are great to start with, but degrade over time. The seasoning layer will build up and help over time, so a robust tray is required.

    This tray doesn’t buckle in the oven and is safe up to a high temperature. This higher temperature indicates that the tray will survive in my kitchen through repeated use at a variety of temperatures.

    The raised circular base helps with the non stick, using a non metal kitchen utensil will help keep it that way.

    Being a sturdy tray, heat transfer and retention is good to crisp up the food and to cook it evenly.

    For the price, if it lasts a couple of years or so like others from circulon have, I will be happy.

    These are awesome. The non stick surface works very well, so releasing food is easy, and they're large while still fitting in most ovens. They're easy to clean, which is fortunate since it's recommended not to dishwash them. Hopefully washing them with a soft sponge will help extend the life of the surface so I can keep using these for years.

    I bought one of these to replace an old Prestige one. I’m a solo cook and use the combi microwave oven or the Rayburn, which has a deep, but narrow oven. I was so pleased with the original purchase that I bought a second one and find they fit nicely side by side in the combi. I’ve found that they cook items evenly, not just on one side like the old tray. There’s room for a good sized chicken portion or plenty of chips. Any liquid tends to run into the ‘drain’ round the edge. They’re easy to get hold of when wearing an oven glove. I hand wash them, which is easy as nothing sticks.

    Best oven tray for small home ovens.
    If your single or a two person family this is the perfect sized oven tray. I’ve always found the longer trays difficult to handle especially if your cooking something small the extra length seems unnecessary.
    Mine came dented which was a bit of a pain because it chipped of some of the non stick coating. However its on the side (lip) of the tray and won’t effect baking.
    It’s still the best baking tray I’ve ever used and I wish square trays where a more common size.
