The pan has been made from induction-compatible stainless steel in a mirror-polish finish, to ensure both durability and style. The clear glass lid included comes with a built-in steam vent that allows for products to be visible and stops pressure from building up. The pan is designed with an encapsulated base, this enhances the cooking performance due to getting less heat spots and gives better and more even heat distribution across the pan.

It is dishwasher safe and the non-stick coating allows for easy cleaning both inside the dishwasher and whilst cleaning by hand. The versatile pan is suitable for use in the oven and on all hob types including electric, gas, ceramic, glass, halogen and induction, making it the ultimate addition to your cookware collection.

These handles have been specifically designed to be heat resistant so that they will stay cool to touch, even when the pan is hot (when used on the hob).

This is a good all round pan, nicely finished and with good non stick surface. My only criticism is the handle on the lid, which protrudes just too much for it to seat upside down on the pan for storage. It is quite a large pan and my kitchen storage is limited, so that factor is important to me, but might be of no account to other users.

I have been using this pan for more than 2 weeks now, and these are my (mostly happy) observations:

1) It is VERY spacious, being a 32 cm pan. The sides are straight and tall enough, so you do get all the 32 cm you need.

2) Heat is very well distributed. In fact, it heats up faster than other pans I have used. I also noticed that I need to turn the flame down most of the time, since the pan picks up and distributes heat very well.

3) The pan is absolutely level. You will most likely have experience with oil/liquids sliding onto one side or the other, which shows that your pan is not 'flat'. But with this one, the oil stays where your pour it, proving that the pan is completely flat. I myself hate it when oil slides to one side or another, so that my eggs are always 'scrambled' to one side. So if you are looking for a totally flat pan, this is the one you want.

4) The cover is fantastically well fitted to the pan, so that I can use a low-er flame, cover the pan, and still get the heating effect of a higher flame. Thus, I save on fuel.

5) So far, burnt marks come off very easily. I use baking soda and a non-scouring pad.

However, on one occasion, I don't know how we did it, the oil was burnt to a temperature that I smelt 'hot engine oil'. I was very worried. And when I smelled the pan, it was still there after washing. Plus, there was an 'oil mark' when reflected under the sunlight. So I carefully rubbed baking soda paste onto the mark again, which was then quite easily removed. Soon after, I used the pan to cook again, and the smell disappeared.

6) The handles on the pan itself and the lid do not get very hot during cooking. 10 minutes into the cooking, both sets of handles are still fine to the touch.

Now what I have not tried is to put the pan into the oven. The advertisement says that I can, but I dare not until now, since I don't want to shatter my own dream of this perfect pan at such an affordable cost. If anyone has tried and had no problem, please let me know, and I shall roast a chicken just to see. Afterall, I am still in my 'return it' period, so I might as well do my tests soon :)
