Tefal introduces the Taste twin pack, combining all the benefits of Tefal Aluminium non-stick with the patented Thermospot technology. The handles have been designed for a solid and comfortable grip.

Aluminium cookware is very popular amongst beginners and gourmet cooks alike thanks to high conductivity and durability on both the exterior and interior of the product. Long-lasting and light weighted this material is easy to use for everyday cooking.

Expert non stick coating

Tefal thoroughly test their non stick coatings through 8,000 abrasion cycles which ensures optimum glide over time. Extremely durable, this non stick coating provides a long lasting protection against scratches and abrasions.

Thermospot Technology

Over 10 years ago, Tefal invented Thermospot technology. This heat indicator works by changing to a solid red colour when the pan has reached the ideal cooking temperature, ensuring optimal cooking results without the risk of under or overheating. Searing food at the right temperature is made easy.

Ergonomic Handles

Taste’s handles are made of Bakelite. Bakelite will not burn when exposed to heat. Its ability to be moulded makes it an ideal material for knobs and handles on cookware. Bakelite is used as a material on many of Tefal‘s ranges because of its hard wearing qualities. Taste features ergonomic handles for comfortable grip and easy handling without the risk of burning hands. The Taste frying pan are oven safe up to 175 Celsius, Gas 4, 350 Fahrenheit for up to 1 hour.

Fortunately, Tefal’s Taste Twin Pack frying pans are something of a culinary reprieve — not just functional, but genuinely impressive for the price.

This set includes two pans: a nimble 20cm and a more generous 28cm — a well-judged pairing that covers everything from solo omelettes to a respectable Saturday morning fry-up for the whole household. It's the Goldilocks approach to cookware: one for your eggs, one for your ambitions.

The real showstopper here is the non-stick coating. Tefal, to their credit, aren’t just coasting on brand recognition — the coating on these pans is nothing short of miraculous. You can fry an egg with barely a glimmer of oil and watch it pirouette across the surface like it’s in a cooking show audition. Pancakes, bacon, halloumi, even the ever-temperamental tofu glide off the surface as if to say, “Thanks, but I shan’t be staying.”

These pans arrived packaged very well. The size suited me as the smaller pan was good for single use and the larger one for more people. When cooking with the pans, you really need very little oil as the non-stick is very good. The pans clean really well and are dishwasher safe. They are not suitable for induction cookers.

Sadly the pans are much smaller than claimed. Around 1 cm smaller. It’s very disappointing when you’re used to cooking meals using specific size, the things you were able to cook before might not fit into the pan anymore. Another problem comes when you buy a Tefal lid for 28cm, suddenly it’s not fitting and you’re disappointed even further. Not a very good experience sadly.
