There’s no beating the delicious versatility of this slimming-friendly Slow Cooker Spiced Pulled Pork. It might take hours and hours to tenderise to perfection, but it’s well worth the wait! While it’s tasty enough to enjoy all on its own, we’ve taken things up a notch by prepping a lipsmacking sauce and a zingy side-slaw.

Fold your pork into a taco, a wrap, a burrito or even a salad bowl – the possibilities are endless! That’s why it’s a good idea to make some room in your freezer now, ready to stash a few portions away for leftovers night.

Our zingy homemade slaw is actually inspired by our Edamame and Carrot Salad – it perfectly complements smoky-sweet pork!

If you like things with a little more heat, feel free to add more Sriracha or even some chilli powder. Just remember our spicy sauce already has quite a kick to it! You can also make this one in your slow cooker, if you’d rather leave it bubbling away for even longer.

See what others have to say

Claire KnibbSunday 15th November 2020

I’ve just made this and I have to say it is extremely salty. If I make it again i would definitely reduce the soy sauce I think.

Hi Claire, feel free to alter the recipe to suit your taste like you have suggested you could reduce the amount of soy sauce or you can find reduced salt soy sauce in most supermarkets. Hope that helps!

Hi, what is a fat separator? I’ve seen it mentioned in a couple of recipes and I’ve never heard of it. Is it a machine? Or a device like a sieve?

Hello,
Isn’t 150ml of Soy Sauce a lot to use? I’ve seen other recipes similar but they’re 3-5 tbsp. of Soy.

Absolutely loved this recipe. Was wondering if I could still do this with pork loin chops or pork strips? Obviously I wouldn’t cook it for quite so long but would I need to change any amounts of the ingredients?

Hi. I was just wondering if I can make this without a slow cooker, low and slow in the oven? How would I need to adjust the recipe. Thanks.
